Review on Monster MBL FM XMTR300 Discontinued Manufacturer by Jon Brazil

See my Coby CA-745 Transmitter Review for more information. I bought this Monster RadioPlay 300 based on price and overall rating. Arrived broken and used. The wire near the socket was positional, meaning it was broken internally and only worked when the wire was at a certain angle; The cord dangled and dangled while driving, leaving the transmitter in disrepair. Also, the screen and case were badly scratched, leading me to conclude that the company had sent me the returned device because it was broken. I suspect the quality control program needs to be better managed in the shipping/receiving department. When I contacted the seller they apologized, refunded my money and sent me a new one for free, so I would say their PR department is great! The replacement works and is adequate, but when I received the Coby transmitter (which I ordered right after receiving the first Monster) I was blown away by how much better the latter is and at a comparable price. So the bottom line is the company has a quality control issue they can fix and I wish them the best of luck. Their prompt and unsolicited response to refund my purchase price and send me a working replacement is a good sign that they are trying, so I thank them for their efforts. The transmitter itself isn't bad, but not as good as the Coby.
