I have washed the popsicle molds with soap and water and they still have a strong odor which must be from chemical outgassing. My first serving of popsicles was delicious. They were made with fruit juice. My second batch tasted very bad. I made it with almond milk. The silicone must be chemically leached into the liquid as it freezes into the popsicle. Who knows what the chemical is and if it is potentially harmful. I will never use these popsicle molds again. I have already received a refund. Another problem with these molds is that they are very flexible and difficult to hold on to when trying to remove the last few popsicles. While it's a lot easier to remove popsicles from silicone molds than regular plastic molds, it was still a little tricky. And you have to be very careful about filling them with liquid and putting them in the freezer. They are very easy to shed because the molds are very flexible. Another problem is the lack of a sponge to catch ice cream while eating. Popsicle sticks have a flat platform under the bottom of the popsicle, but no ledge or anything to catch the melted liquid dripping from the candy. I do not recommend these popsicle molds. Now I'll come back to using traditional plastic molds.
