These little voltmeters were just what I needed for my specific purpose. I use them to monitor the battery voltage of very small DC lights (RV-LED) and 12V battery powered fans (O 2 Cool). This is the case in the event of a power failure. If you lower the battery voltage too much, it won't hold the charge. The meters are connected in parallel to a battery-powered circuit. My wife and I each have one of these and I can charge our phones as well. And with the cigarette lighter socket, I can also power the Baofeng UV5R 8W handheld with the DC adapter box replacing the battery. So I have cellular / 2 meters / 70 cm / FM radio reception and with this special setting I can also track the NWS weather forecast. I use a 110 volt forage charger. If the outage lasts for a long time, I charge the battery from my car or truck. I use an 18 watt hour AGM battery and 2 LED RV lights plus a 10" fan and a phone and UV5R charger. The voltmeter is easy to read and fairly accurate, not as accurate as my meter but good enough. I like the product, works well enough for my purpose. I plan on adding another battery to our 2 systems and looking into solar panels and charge controllers. We had to put this to the test during Hurricane Laura when we were without power for about 36 hours. Glad it didn't take longer.
