I was having noise in my headphones while gaming on the computer. While researching this I found out that it is some kind of electrical interference caused by the graphics card or power supply which increases the power consumption to run the game. The recommended solutions were an external DAC, a sound card or this device. I first tried a sound card that didn't eliminate the noise, and then I tried this one. This device completely removed the buzz in the headphones during gameplay. I am very impressed. It doesn't seem to degrade the sound quality at all. The only problem is that it really reduced the volume that I can hear. Luckily for me, I ran with my headphones on, turned the maximum volume down to 60% in the Windows controls, and then turned the volume down even more in each individual app. Once connected I had to turn it up to 100% in Windows and a little in each application to get back to the volume I had before using it. This is normal for me as my setup was always able to output a lot more volume before I started using this unit. Just make sure your setup can boost the volume significantly before buying this as it will lower it. Otherwise it works great and is really cheap. I'll update this if it breaks quickly or something.
