I had a problem with skunk smell from a car that was killed nearby or something similar. angry. This smell lasted for several days. Window open, closed doesn't matter. from the smell of skunks to the smell of decay. Got this, stayed overnight because of the reviews I read. Skeptical but desperate. I'm glad I made it. Leave it uncovered for a couple of hours and you will feel the difference. The smell is quite pleasant, not sharp, but it is. but most importantly it seems to have removed the smell rather than just covering it up. When the smell didn't completely go away, I removed the sponge and left it on the lid. A few hours later (windows closed of course) there was no trace of the smell. It really works.
