Review on ☕ Hamilton Beach Works with Alexa Smart Coffee Maker: Programmable, 12 Cup Capacity, Black and Stainless Steel (49350) – Certified for Humans by Anne Nishioka

I didn't believe the bad reviews until I bought it and tried it. I didn't buy it from Revain but would like to share my brief experience with the HB Alexa coffee maker. If you know anything about coffee makers, this is a very lightweight machine made out of flimsy, cheap plastic. The front door that you put your ground coffee in doesn't close tightly as it's loose and the filter bowl catches on the edge and can easily fall off when you're in a hurry. The only part that really worked was the Alexa setup process - I had no trouble and was able to create a scheduled routine. Despite the cheap construction, I wanted to keep it until the scary scene the next morning because of the Alexa function; My kitchen was full of brewed coffee because the coffee maker stopped brewing coffee in the pot and spilled over the counter and floor. Apparently these machines have a clogging problem and I have never experienced such a problem with even the cheapest coffee maker. If you really need an Alexa coffee maker, my advice is either get one with a manual switch and Smart Play, or wait for a reputable company like Cuisinart or Krups to offer a Smart one. I think the reason some people gave it five stars is because they didn't try to brew a full kettle - I think the overflow issue can be easily reproduced if you brew 10-12 cups. I think after 4 cups it overflows and you can get coffee grounds in your coffee and on your counters and floors.
