Review on Metabo HPT NR1890DC Cordless Brushless Power Tool by Randy Bin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good - better charger, make it easier, do a video on charging and charging would be nice!

I like that it is battery powered. I've only used it for 10 minutes so far and it's great (I'll update next year if I run into any problems). If Metabo would like me to buy another I would improve: 1) Smaller/lighter - to fit in smaller spaces and 10lbs is a bit heavy especially overhead. 2) More powerful 4 Ah battery compared to current 3 Ah batteries. 3) Better charger, easier to understand with decimal display and estimated time to fully charge. 4) Supports nails from 1 to 3.5 inches Versatility 5) Video showing how to charge, clear jams and charge (because current chargers are not intuitive) 6) Price is too high, no compressor is good, but if you halve the price, I think it's not a problem. If you added all 8 items I recommend here I would buy it for another $50 more. 7) A much easier way to quickly clear the jam, no need to pull out an Allen key that I lost and loosen 4 screws to disassemble to clear the jam. 8) Ability to locate the tool from my smartphone (Ok I'm a techie but how many times have you started a project and been able to find a damn tool!) Also a Metabo smartphone app (iOS and Android) that does it all can find my metabo tools which can help with sales, provide a channel to buy additional tools, bonuses/discounts etc. The current design is very good but it can be improved by looking at the 8 items above. Hammers nails fast and deep with easy adjustment. I had trouble finding 3.5 inch nails with a 30 degree offset. If you had a smartphone app that detaches easily, or even a 3D barcode that I could scan to order the right nails (and watch a video tutorial) that would be very helpful. Regardless, this is way better than using a hammer anyway!
