This is a great set of pots and pans for everyday use, sturdy but fairly light. The granite coating in pots and pans is excellent at preventing anything from sticking. We've used them on pretty much everything and found that both the inside and outside work well for everyday use. I love that the red color stays on the outside and even if something is spilled on the outside rim while cooking, it doesn't burn or stain and rubs off just as easily as the inside. The pan is perfect for eggs. - Fried, scrambled eggs, omelets, etc. They don't need a lot of fat, they don't stick or burn. However, this has the disadvantage that you cannot achieve good browning of the meat either. Granite heats up well, but when we tried searing the steak it seemed steamed rather than seared. For firing I had to pull out the good old cast iron.
