Loud. I ride cbr600rr and listen to music through my bike. If not, you'll need to adjust them until they're positioned correctly. When I found the sweat stain, I had to dispose of it. The volume was exactly what I was looking for because my other bikes had just muffled the sound. The bass is decent and I can hear music with lyrics clearly. Today the rain got me and they survived. The controls are easy to manipulate. I don't have any cutouts and the speakers fit without hurting my ears. I have to put my ears in the helmet before putting it on my head to keep the ears from flapping. Will get 2 more for my other helmets. Good bang for the buck. It's not often that I'm happy with the electronics I use in Revain, but I can say that it's been a hit and not a miss for me.
