Great idea - always have a dual scale caliper handy - if it works. They lasted 3 1/2 days in store before something broke inside. Now they are a very nice paperweight. For the very short time they worked, they were excellent. I tested them against a set of Starrett gauge blocks, starting at .0135 and going up to 4 inches. The readings were also accurate on the metric side. However, all that convenience and accuracy isn't worth a penny if it doesn't work. I am a machinist by profession, I am already 32 years old. I know how to use calipers properly and have only bought Mitutoyo or Starrett in the past, but when I saw the dual reading scale I was intrigued. So I bought a set of 6" calipers and unfortunately they lasted less than 4 days. I have a set of Anytime Tools 12" calipers. They have lasted over a year in the shop with no problems so I figured they would be of the same quality. I noticed right away that they looked cheaper than the 12" and definitely not of Mitutoyo or Starrett design or quality. But to be honest, they didn't even cost $300. Good concept, bad execution, or I just got a bad set. . I left my contact information on Anytime Tools so we can see how customer support responds. I will update this review if necessary. Accuracy (when they worked): 5 stars Easy to read: 5 stars Value for money: 1 star Overall rating: 1 star They would be 5 star calipers if they worked for more than 3 days.
