If you have play in your shifter and your truck is of any age, this is most likely your problem. This eliminated the sag and made the derailleur feel like new again. The repair is not so difficult, even if you have little experience in mechanics. The repair will cost you less than $10. It's worth it. There is a video on YouTube showing how to lower the steering column to complete the repair. For tools for F150 1997-2003 you will need the following: 1. Head 7mm2. head 8mm3. 13 mm socket with extension4. Phillips screwdriver5. Bit T-30 Torx Good luck!
