I used these types of reels when I was younger and decided to try them again. I've bought others at the store that made my hair look fried. However, with these heated curlers, my hair doesn't look or feel tousted, but rather shiny, resilient and healthy-looking. I haven't changed my shampoo or done anything other than use these hot rollers. They can get a bit warm during use, but what I love about these reels is that they don't unravel when I clip on. My hair has thinned over the years, but these curlers stayed in my hair until I unclipped and twisted them up. Even on my daughter, who has thicker hair, they worked just as well as they did on my hair. Because these are larger curlers, they give a bigger curl which gives my hair a wavy look. So easy to use and easy to store in my closet.
