Well, for 11 euros plus shipping you can definitely pay for a one-year term its cost. I was able to run a 4K monitor at 1920 x 1080 exactly as advertised. You must understand that if your monitor's native resolution exceeds 1920 x 1080, you will have image sharpness issues. I had a Samsung 4K UHD UE590D monitor. Looked as good as it can be for the money. At the moment I have no complaints. No drivers were required, but I had to add a custom resolution and update the video control panel (Intel Graphics on Lenovo T460) to display the maximum resolution. It's VGA and there's not much hardware detection here, so you'll have to set up your graphics card yourself. You must use the USB power cord that came with the adapter, it does not draw power from the HDMI or VGA ports. and it is a unidirectional device. it is exclusively VGA OUT (from PC or laptop) to HDMI IN (on your monitor). In all respects everything seems to be in order. I will update this review if anything goes wrong later. I tested this adapter with Windows 10 on Lenovo T460 and Dell 5520 with Ubuntu 20.04. The Ubuntu install only seemed to work at 1024x768 on my Samsung monitor, but since that wasn't my primary use case, I didn't spend much time setting it to 1920x1080. Hooray! Update: 05/12/2020. I've used this converter several times and now I'm noticing some minor issues. First, image centering is disabled on my large display (mentioned above). The image appears to be shifted about 30 or 40 vertical pixels to the right. I can't figure out how to properly center the image. There are two options: One is the graphics card settings, the other is the configuration menu on the display itself. Unfortunately, none of them work. When I lower the resolution below 1920x1080 it seems better to center the image on the display, but that's not the optimal resolution I want to use. Another problem seems to be the intermittent "horizontal shift" that occurs intermittently. It seems that the image on the display temporarily shifts to the right, and then returns to its original position. This is pretty annoying and I'm sure it's probably also because the image isn't centered. The picture is still usable but still annoying if you use the monitor to view for a period of time. Anyway, I'm not sure I'll keep using this, I can find another solution, like a USB to HDMI driver for external monitors. These solutions require software drivers, which I was hoping to avoid.
