This battery tester is as good as other small testers of the same type. It has limitations, like many other testers that don't use real load, but the Bluetooth connectivity is a surprisingly nice feature. First off I would like to say that using a real load tester is my favorite way of testing a battery. Each of these portable testers without a charging case depends on multiple factors to produce consistent results, and this tester is no different. If the vehicle under test has been driven recently, the battery's "surface charge" can affect the test results, so it's usually a good idea to test the battery after the car has been parked for a few hours, or turning on the headlights for a while. 5-10 minutes to use part of the surge before testing. The big difference in the screenshots of the battery test results I posted in this review is that the engine was running just before the battery was tested once, so the battery showed a very high CCA rating. Keeping this in mind will give you accurate test results with a compact handheld tester. The starting and charging system tests are good, but the app needs some work to make the steps for these tests understandable. During a charging system test, the app does not tell you when electrical loads are switched on or off, but it does return the voltage value for the loads that are switched on and off. However, the app can always be updated to make it more user-friendly or even add new features. I think it would be nice to present a graphic of the loading system and first system tests. The device itself makes a very well-made impression. The clamps are surprisingly strong for a battery tester and seem built to last. The tester itself is very small, which is not surprising since it only measures and does not charge the battery. I will say that initially I thought that using Bluetooth in this tester was only useful to make app updates easier and that it would make the device more difficult to use. On the contrary, tests on the starting and charging system with Bluetooth are very convenient because I can start and carry out tests in the car with the doors closed and the windows open. There are no wires to run through the window and there is no need to push a button and then start the engine etc. In summary it's a solid tool that works the way you want it to would expect as long as you keep the restrictions in mind. I hope that the manufacturer will continue to develop and improve the application to expand its capabilities and make it more convenient to use.
