Review on Enhanced Performance EGV693 EGR Valve by Standard Motor Products by Isaac Maze

We received two Standard Motor Products EGV693 EGR valves from Revain. The first came poorly packaged, the inner box looked dented, this part may have been returned early. We only got one pad with it. My husband put it on our car it made a terrible noise so we had to return it. The second one was also poorly packaged and only contained one gasket, but this one is working well so far. I will update the information promptly if anything changes. You will need to remove some of the old parts from your original EGR valve and fit it to this one, but this will be the case with any EGR valve. Now I'm a girl with limited mechanical knowledge, but I've seen my husband do it. These were two stick-like things that he had to remove from the original and put on a new one, and a small plate. I'm sorry I can't be more specific. Our only complaint is how Revain shipped them with blister guards on only two sides. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars and because it cost us time. I hope they provide better protection for future parts. This EGR valve was for our 1998 Toyota Avalon, V-6. I hope my review helps!
