Enhanced Performance EGV693 EGR Valve by Standard Motor Products Review

Do not buy this item. The valve position sensor included in the kit is defective, did not work. I immediately got a Check Engine Light (CEL) for the defective sensor, so I replaced it with my original one and the problem was solved. Not worth removing the EGR valve to return, I regret buying a non-OEM part.

I removed the defective EGR valve and replaced it with this new EGR valve. The characteristics of the car were the same. Thinking that the new EGR valve shouldn't be the problem, I took the car to a professional mechanic and they diagnosed the problem with the new EGR valve. Unfortunately the 30 day EGR return policy has expired. So if you buy this part, make sure it works within 30 days. The support team was unhelpful and answered questions with minimal responses. We received two Standard Motor Products EGV693 EGR valves from Revain. The first came poorly packaged, the inner box looked dented, this part may have been returned early. We only got one pad with it. My husband put it on our car it made a terrible noise so we had to return it. The second one was also poorly packaged and only contained one gasket, but this one is working well so far. I will update the information promptly if anything changes.
