My 3 year old has cerebral palsy and this seat was the perfect next step for him. He sat in a plastic car seat with side walls and depended on us to lift him into it before each meal. We're working on independence skills for him and the moment I put that seat on the chair he was motivated to get up to sit on it and was able to do it. I don't know what other seat he could safely climb onto. The fact that it doesn't reach the edge of the chair means children can use that edge to climb onto the chair. This booster will be very useful for his physical development!
