The rivets are fine. The peeping tool is cheap and simple; There aren't many mistakes. The riveter is terrible and because of him the kit isn't worth the money. Mine doesn't stick to anything. I took it apart to see if I can figure it out. First, the screw that needs to be removed for maintenance is attached to the post, so removing it is a hassle. Once you do that, you need to replace it. But after that, at least it's good. You should be able to take it apart - you'll see why in a moment. The insides were covered with a thin film of rust. I suspected it was sticking/sticking so I cleaned it with a plastic brush on a rotary tool, lightly oiled it and reassembled. Now it works! Grabs and sets rivets. Done correctly? Not yet. If the mandrel breaks off after assembly and gets stuck in the tool! With a conventional rivet gun, it slides out from behind. In it he is trapped. You will need to unscrew the top to get it out IF the protruding spike is enough to grab and unscrew. If it's flush with the puller, good luck. For a very rare DIY repair, this may be worth the extra effort. Everyone else (mechanics, detailers, restorers) come by and get a good tool.
