Review on ☕ Mueller Electric Gooseneck Pour Over Coffee Set - Stainless Steel Kettle & Drip Coffee Maker, Matte Finish by Scott Ramu

Disagree with most of the other reviews here. It's a lot, not a good price

I put it in the shopping cart and bought "Semi-Impuls". If I had thought more about it, I would definitely buy something else. I already have a V60 drip cone so I wouldn't use a metal filter or decanter at all. So what I'm left with is a $15 or $20 kettle for my $30. The kettle's body is thin, scratchy metal, which I believe is rustproof(?) that gets very hot and stays very hot. I think it's powder coated black, the lines between the uncoated and coated surfaces are sloppy. The positive terminal at the base is spring-loaded (or preloaded, I'm not sure) and pushes the very light kettle up so it doesn't sit flat at idle when empty. Boiling speed is about what I expected. The gooseneck spout is a great advantage when pouring over. I haven't had any of the leakage issues that others have reported. I would definitely recommend boiling some pots of water and then pouring them out BEFORE drinking the water boiled in it, there are still some lingering smells after a week of use. The Mueller brand isn't "European" or "Austrian" quality — it's all mid-range and low-end stuff, assembled, packaged, and rebranded on an assembly line in a far-off country. I will "stand" this kettle and hope it fails so I can justify buying something nicer. If you don't have a kettle I wouldn't recommend buying this one. If you are tempted by a reusable cone filter, don't be tempted. Honestly a bad brewing method. <update> I have a leak at the seam between the case and the base - after about three months of daily use. I only noticed that today, as far as I know it could have taken longer. Avoid like the plague. ALSO - don't worry about the free milk frother, it's very cheap, flimsy, you don't need to put batteries in it. I threw mine away.
