Bought after my Olympus WS600S died unexpectedly after a year and a half. I really liked it but the battery wasn't rechargeable so I considered the Olympus WS802 but the Sony was a bit cheaper and I was concerned that the new Olympus might not last longer than the old one. I like Sony so far. - It's very easy to use so you don't have to memorize the manual (or even spend a lot of time on it once you get the basics down). I had a design issue because the "delete" button is on the other side of the recorder from the "on" lever. So I kept hitting the "delete" button while holding the recorder and trying to turn it off. I didn't accidentally delete anything because the recorder kindly asked me if I really wanted to delete the recording. Once I understood what was going on, I was able to hold the recorder differently and no longer had questions like "Do you want to erase?". Messages when the voice recorder is turned off. It also took me a while to get used to having the volume on the side instead of the front where my old Olympus had the volume buttons - I don't like the placement either but that's a slight downside. Overall very happy with the product - it has good sound quality and features at a reasonable price. Yes, and you can charge the batteries using your computer's USB port.
