One of the best for mechanics.

I've been using Thinkscan for over a year now and I love it. I actually had a Thinkscan S7 that I used one day while I was working on a car and while I was doing some work my daughter accidentally spilled my glass of water which completely ruined my scanner. Luckily after a few weeks I was able to get these. Thinkscan makes many types of diagnostic tools and I own several. I love how simple and accurate they are. There is so much you can do. They are a touchscreen with an Android-based operating system. You can save all your work in the scan tool and then connect to view the scan details. You can create PDF files and all that. When you get this for the first time, you need to connect to WiFi and update the system. Take your time, because there are a lot of updates to do. One of the nice features of this tool is the maintenance functions. You get a few free but have to pay for others. These service functions are about what you need for programming key fobs and more. Other scanning tools do not give you this option. To do this, simply click on the maintenance icon and then follow the instructions. After paying for the feature, you can use it. Now this is for maintenance functions only. Everything else is free. You can check codes and clear codes, as well as view live data, still image, and IM readiness. Again, everything is free with free lifetime updates. Another nice feature is the DTC library. As long as you're connected to Wi-Fi, you can find each code and get an idea of what to check. It's great whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner. I know I'm overlooking it a bit and I'm sorry, but there is so much you can do with this scanner. For the price it can't be beat. I've been using scan tools for years and this is by far my favorite simply because you aren't limited in what you can do with it. This is truly top notch and a must have for any mechanic. I highly recommend.
