I bought three of these lenses to use with old Canon FD lenses. When attaching to the lens, care must be taken to ensure that the protruding pin in the adapter mount holds the iris activation function (yes, that's the technical term) to manually control the iris. Otherwise the aperture ring has no effect and the lens remains wide open. The two FD-A7II adapters I ordered worked flawlessly, requiring only a minimal amount of finesse to line up the pin and lever. The third, however, turned out to be fatally wrong. The pin in the adapter was drilled and installed in the wrong place which is a fairly serious factory/manufacturing defect. Return.
