I bought these walkie-talkies for an upcoming team job where I needed to coordinate a group of people doing dangerous work. Shouldn't have gone the cheap route. The signal-to-noise ratio of these radios is out of control. Words difficult to understand. It was 10ft and 200ft apart, different channels, in-ear, no in-ear. The guys thought other people could hear them, assumed they were coordinated, but they weren't. This could lead to an accident. At the end we just took off the walkie-talkies so everyone knew we should use hand signals. I have other Retevis radios that are fine; but they are so bad that they actually posed a threat to my team.
