Wife ordered this pet door based on the positive reviews. I noticed that none of the reviews mention anything about the installation, other than one person saying the right person installed it. I guess I'm not that person. First, the quality of the plastic seems cheap for the price. Then I installed it in an inch thick door and the kit didn't come with the correct screw length. One set was too long and the other too short, I had to buy the right length from the hardware store. Also, a plate with a nut had a manufacturing defect and didn't fit the threads, so the valve frame had to be disassembled to replace it. I finally installed the Ferplast Cat and Dog Swing 11 and it really works, but if I had to do it all over again I would look for a different brand of pet door.
