We've been waiting all weekend to vacuum the house after we got them from Revain. My wife is now upset after opening the filters and vacuuming a bit. There is no mention of these filters being flavored. We cannot use them and will start returning them today. There are no toxic chemical fragrances in our home. We don't like having your beliefs foisted on us (that our house should smell like some kind of chemical farm) - we paid no money to support that idea. In any case, we cannot even handle the aroma contained in these filters (hence our position). The product description doesn't say anything about a chemical scent either. We wouldn't have bought them if we'd known! My house smells like cheap Pampers diapers after a few minutes of vacuuming. At first my wife thought it might just be the filter bags, but they actually got into the filter. She quit vacuuming pretty quickly when she decided it was absolutely damaging to my health. I'm sensitive to chemical smells and I'm here to tell you these filters have them. Again, the problem isn't outside of the plastic bags that contain the filters. It resides INSIDE the filters installed by the manufacturer (or is absorbed during storage at the facility where they were packaged). WHY do customers want an unpleasant smell in their home? This thing is uncomfortable, but it also causes a burning reaction on the skin and in the nasal passages. There is also a numb feeling on the lips when it comes into contact with the fumes it gives off. This triggers an asthma reaction. This stuffing of everything with flavors against our will has to stop. A recent study found that 34% of the population can't tolerate these scents (we're in that group) but they keep sending us those horrible things without our consent. A few years ago we ordered garbage bags and they also came with scents. These ingredients were not mentioned either. It's like someone decided that all junk smells bad, so it MUST contain some chemicals to "mask" it, but we all know you can't mask anything. Obviously, using scent actually brings other smells into the air that you might not otherwise notice. That goes for body odor and even the dirt he picked up. If you don't have fragrances in the house, then the vacuumed dust and everything else that goes into the canister will not smell bad. In order to.
