My Silverstone MLOB case has four 80mm ball bearing intake (3-wire) fans and the exhaust is extracted by two 120mm 2-stroke (4-wire PWM) fans on my CPU. I connected the device to SYS Fan 2 (pull fan) and this 4pin fan to the CPU connector of the device and then connected my two 80mm fans (in front of the CPU, VRM). It worked right away. I left the other 2 80mm SSD/HDD fans on 5V, now I control 3 fans on SYS Fan 2 with Speedfan. It even shows the fan speed on the CPU port. I tried a similar device and it just didn't work (possibly my 3 and 4 pin fans or my motherboard, IDK). I also used GRID but the software was finicky. And there's no place for the Sentinel. This unit will work with 3 or 4 pin fans (2 AMP max I think). Great product, my CPU, GPU, SSD and case are cooler and quieter. And I have two pieces of tape in case I have to move, thanks!
