I fell in love! I've been knitting since I was four years old. So I went to the development of cable needles. I always had spare tip sets with me. Nothing, and I mean nothing beats the twist and spin sets. I bought both because I knit a lot of lace patterns. I checked this way: First, I screwed all the spade lugs into all the cables to make sure all the connections lined up and worked well. I can also report that the cables from the two spade lugs cross and can be used in both. The cables are soft enough to knit a magic bow. I've tried different yarn counts in different tips. Here's what I found out. For smaller cords, use a wrench to tighten the cord, especially with very thin or fluffy yarn. This completely eliminates joint jamming. I didn't hook up larger cables. Comes with extensions to join two cords and backstops for use as a straight needle. Screw everything to test them once you receive the package. I really enjoyed testing them and they are absolute keepers. But before you ditch fixed cables, consider how often this can be a problem. If you knit a yoke with two sleeves and a torso, all of which is needed on a separate knitting needle, you will still be happy with it. Also, I always have more than one project and of course I can't afford more than one set for each. So the socks will be on solid cords that have proven themselves for the job. All in all, the last decade has been the most urgent time to invest in tools.
