Review on Efficient EXTRAUP 115V Electric Water Transfer Utility Pump - Powerful Portable 330 GPH Pump with Suction Hose Kit by Josh Sharp

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No replacement impeller, unthreaded suction attachment, difficult to use

While the pump itself worked well, pumping water from the rain barrels to the storage tank, two issues resulted in a downgrade. Firstly, the packaging states that the pump comes with an impeller replacement kit. There was no replacement set included. Secondly, the suction nozzle lacks a thread for connecting a garden hose. I had to remove the fitting and screw the hose into the plastic body of the nozzle. The hose nozzle is very stiff and could not be bent 90 degrees even after prolonged immersion in hot water, so that the suction nozzle could be placed horizontally on the bottom of the barrel. The suction nozzle requires a 90 degree thread fitting to be flat on the bottom of the drum or on the floor when used from above. Its only usefulness is that it is on the ground at the same height as the pump. For example, if you are trying to pump water out of a basement, it means the pump is in the water. And the nozzle has no thread for a hose connection. The pump has enough power to pump water through a 50 foot hose and about 8 feet up into a storage tank. It took a little over 10 minutes to pump about 50 gallons. The on/off switch on the pump facilitates operation. As is, it needs to be connected/disconnected to start/stop.
