Don't waste your money

First use was to pump water out of depressions in my hot tub. Worked fine for about 5 minutes, then nothing when I switched to another location. Spent more time skimming off the rest of the water. And what is the packaging waste inside? I understand you want the bearings to be lubricated, but it was impossible to pull them out completely and they just clogged the exhaust pipe.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Burned out in less than 10 minutes

It was a waste of money. I only bought it to pump water out of a relatively small fountain basin to "insulate" the fountain. It's going to be a severe frost tonight so I just tried using this item for the first time. Follow directions closely including adding a few drops of mineral/vegetable oil to impeller inlet #1. Barely pumped out water then burned out in less than 10 minutes.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Some errors

Disappointed with this pump

I was disappointed with the product. While this works, your drill needs to be running fairly fast for it to start pumping and then keep running all the time while you're pumping. It doesn't pump very much water and I feel my drill wears out very quickly with this pump. In addition, a large ball of fat came out of the outlet when first used. This makes me question the durability of the pump as it is not hermetically sealed.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I will add later

Works but is not designed to move large volumes of water

I have two small wells and was looking for a way to empty them quickly. It's good for finishing work as it works in shallow water, but I've switched back to using a Slurpee mug for big jobs. Another annoyance is that the hoses are twisted, requiring three or four hands; 1) Use a drill, 2) Hold the pump so it doesn't rotate, 3) Hold the suction hose, 4) Hold the outlet hose so it drains where you want it, not with you. I ended up tying wire to the tubing so I could arrange them as needed. But it

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Functional but almost useless

This pump is so useless I just threw it away. The first problem is that the suction hose needs either a rock or someone's special hand to hold it where it needs to be instead of just hanging there. Yes you can add your own piece of tubing but then you will have trouble filling it. Secondly, you need to hold the pump itself with a special hand so that the body does not rotate. Then you have a third hand to operate the drill. With this low flow rate, I can make better progress with a hand pump…

Pros
  • These are amazing
Cons
  • little things

An extra hand may be required depending on use

Sometimes using just 2 hands is a bit more difficult as the drill itself is free to rotate. But as long as you have help, it's easy to use. I use it to pump water out of my jet ski's storage and legroom after washing/rinsing it with salt water. For me specifically, I have to hold the suction hose in the bottom storage compartment and start the drill while someone else holds the exhaust hose out. I'm using it with a Dewalt 20V Max XR rock drill at speed 2 and it's pumping out some GPM, IDK…

  • Best in class

works as Promotional ID

I had to empty a 55 gallon water butt. As a woman in my 60s with weak upper body strength, I was unwilling and unable to tip over a full rainwater barrel to drain the water. This product hit the spot - it worked well. I hooked it up to a corded drill, used a long garden hose on the outlet side and was able to drain a 55 gallon rain barrel in about 20-25 minutes. Stop occasionally to clear algae from the suction hose and allow the drill to cool. I followed the instructions (drive side…

  • I have no negative feelings about this, everything is fine

Package Available: Rough Plumbing

So far I'm happy with this purchase. Free Next Day Delivery from Revain. The set arrived exactly as described. I've seen some negative reviews on this product but I think it's because people were expecting too much from such a small/cheap device. This package comes with a hose (approx. 1/4 inch internal size) for accessing hard-to-reach places or places where gravity cannot be used to drain items where the water level is above the ground. I only bought it to drain. from my sewer lines so I can…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
