I was years old today when I found out that this cover can be moved forward. When I first removed the damaged cover I was baffled as to why people said it was easy to install (only 7 screws) because I couldn't see a way to get to the back 2 screws or even the 7th screw. saw a video of a person sliding the cover forward to access the two rear screws, exposing the seventh screw in the middle. I've had this car for 13 years and just noticed that the lid is sliding forward. I had an issue with rear screw alignment but didn't bother with it. He holds up pretty well without it. I am very happy with this replacement and am now happy to pass it on to my son.
