Review on 🎥 ViewSonic X10-4KE: Portable Smart Wi-Fi Home Theater Projector with True 4K UHD, Shorter Throw, Harman Kardon Speakers, 3D Ready, HDMI & USB Type C by Corey Moulton

My old Acer projector died after 5 years. Received "as new" version of Viewsonic X10-4KE. First, it's huge, almost twice the size of the old Acer. He's also quite tall - enough to get in the way if you sit close behind him. The first thing I noticed when setting up the projector was the lack of knobs on the bottom to align the image. There's also no zoom, so image size is fixed unless you physically move the projector forward or backward relative to the screen/wall. The next thing I noticed was that the fan is quite noisy. Compared to my old projector, this new one was further from me as it has a short throw, but the fan was still louder. Also, the short throw feature wasn't quite right for my needs - being further away from the projector makes it more difficult to use with headphones and connect to a computer. Adjusting the projector further, I found a bright border. This is a gray frame that surrounds the image on all four sides. I looked into this and it's the fault of the TI chip, not the manufacturer. However, it is very distracting. On the other hand, the sound is amazing. I no longer had to use a separate device for audio. The noise usually drowns out the fan noise as well. But not always. After all, I could endure all of the above weaknesses if there weren't two other glaring flaws. First, the projector simply lacks brightness even at night with no ambient light. Second, in the few weeks I've had it, the projector overheated and shut down (after very little use when the room wasn't hot). This eventually led to the demise of the old Acer projector (many years later), making it unacceptable for a much newer LED projector, especially an 'like new' unit that only came with a 30 day warranty. warranty is supplied.
