Needs a little improvement

After my Jeep stroller bit the big one in July, I seriously considered getting another one. Eventually, my son walked alone and probably needed as much exercise as possible, so I figured continued use of the stroller would hamper his steady progress toward independence. That was very flawed logic. After walking with him on a leash and harness for about a month, I realized something. When a child can undress at any time, with or without command, and can climb onto a kitchen counter from two different vantage points and independently open a door and demolish an entire house in less than an hour, then it's time to give the child some autonomy take and turn it into a semblance of a mother's mental health. And a good starting point is regular walks around the neighborhood. In the wheelchair. So I started researching strollers again. I didn't want to buy cheap strollers like I used to, but I also needed a stroller that was between $75 and $125. So the hunt began. At first I ignored any jogging buggies. My logic was: I don't walk, so I don't need a stroller. Once again my logic was very wrong. On a whim I checked out a few runners and finally settled on this one. And so I decided the price was right and I could take a chance and buy this stroller. And I'm very glad I did! Advantages: * Easy to push. It's literally like the movement of air. * A basket of sufficient size under the child seat. I can put my handbag and my son's backpack in there and leave some space just in case. * Collapsible baby tray. So when we go for a walk, I push the tray off the seat, call my son to sit down, buckle him up, put the tray in place and leave *Great parenting tray. I particularly like the small compartment with the lid. My jeep stroller didn't have a door so pretty much everything fell out if you forget you put it in there. * Canopy rotates as close as you can imagine. So if the sun shines in my son's eyes while walking, I can cover his face with a canopy. Of course, this will expose the top of his head, but that's fine for now. I'll probably buy a mesh later if that becomes a problem. * Easy assembly right out of the box. This was the easiest new stroller assembly I have ever experienced. They did it in 10 minutes and I didn't even have a fight. Take it, Jeep sports car! Things to improve: * The bar on the right side of the stroller was not properly attached as it should have been. At this point I've figured out a workaround and I'm pretty sure I know how to fix it, but that's the main reason I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Baby trend really had to be more careful with factory construction. Again, this is something I can work with and I do, but it would be really nice if I could hold my son's hand as I fold and unfold this stroller when we are outside. foot brake lock. This is a complaint I have with almost all strollers. I used to have a used Graco that I bought from Goodwill that had a pedal on the rear wheels that could lock both wheels at once. This comes in very handy for traveling single moms like me, especially since locking the rear wheels is the first step in folding this stroller. Overall I am really VERY happy with this stroller. My son loves it and we are again taking regular walks in the neighborhood to help mom feel good and lose weight, get the dog exercise and have daily adventures in the world.
