First of all, let's not overestimate expectations because this product is not expensive. All is well as promised. The quality of the plastic may seem fragile, but I like everything about it. Understanding the instructions is a bit tricky, but not impossible to understand. There are some negative reviews about food getting stuck or getting wet. I would like to share that in my aquarium the flapper door touched the water as it rotated during the feeding cycle. Note that this will get the lining wet. I lifted the feeder just high enough on the aquarium holder that the door is no longer touching it. You can also lower the water level in your tank if you want, but I didn't want to deal with the mess so I increased the feeder instead. Space so nothing blocks the feeder and prevents it from working optimally.
