Funny that 3 is too young to play alone

I bought this for my son who is almost 3 years old. I also bought him a factory set of robots. When comparing, I found that the green bases in this set are a bit more difficult to assemble and disassemble. He needs help using the bases. The connections are tight too. It's too hard for him to play without my help. He can only engage the gears. I think I'll have to wait until he's older to play alone. Additionally, the activity guide that came with the box contained incorrect information about the number of pieces. This should be fixed. He has some montage ideas, but they're hard to see since the picture isn't in color. I actually really enjoy playing with this set and spend some time building different things. I see many possibilities, cars, swings, a pirate ship, a carousel, an airplane, robots, a helicopter, a windmill, a bicycle, a machine gun. It would be nice to include more fun ideas in the activity guide for kids as they may find it difficult to create objects with gears and quickly lose interest. I'll try to give some examples to show what fun objects can be built. Another thing is that the set should definitely include some gears (gears with long teeth) to give more options for assembly. This allows the gears to be rotated from both the top and the side like the helicopter front and back in the photo. I got these from the robot factory.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Damaged
