Not happy with functionality

I was not very happy with the picture quality of this switch but I could have lived with it. My biggest problem was that it would not auto sense if only 1 HDMI device was powered on. so if only the DVD player was on, the device would still require you to go find the remote and change it.I was hoping it would automatically sense that only one device was powered on and default to that device.I returned this HDMI switch
