Review on Plasticplace Gallon Clear Trash Count by Sohini Ledesma

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Surprisingly durable and SAFELY clear enough to see what's inside

One of my uses is to keep things dry in a warehouse. So I put an old tape recorder in one of these bags, wrapped the top of the bag up with one hand and lifted the whole thing - 49 pounds and the bag held up well. Well! But I'm also writing this in part in response to reviewer complaints that the packages aren't 100% crystal clear. Yes, but you can still easily see what's inside. They are about 90% pure. I see no problem. You could get a slightly larger, thinner, fully see-through Husky bag for twice the price per bag. Others have complained about the packaging, saying the sachets are simply "tipped" into the box. Other product? My bags were packaged 10 rolls per box, each roll containing pouches separated by perforations. Just peel off the bag and tear it off. Again, what's the problem? My only dislike (hence 4 stars) is that these are the type of pockets that are welded at the bottom seam in some sort of "pinched" style - like a giant hand got underneath and pinched them. he covered with all five fingers. (Other brands have a single-breasted bottom seam, or no seam at all. This allows the bottom to stretch more, allowing it to hold more.) That doesn't seem to affect durability, though. The 1.2 mil thickness seems ideal - the weight of 49 pounds for a bag of this size is impressive. Good deal at a good price. And probably the only review I will ever write for a garbage bag!

Pros
  • Product packaging may vary
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
