Collapsed on first scoop

I was so hoping for this scoop but unfortunately I may not have been lucky. The center shaft mechanism came out right with the first ball of my cookie dough. Also, I agree with other reviewers that "stroking" in the scoop itself leaves more space between the scoop wall and the scraper, resulting in quite a bit of batter remaining in the scoop.
