Review on Gates 31769 Locking Fuel Cap by Philip Latham

Not compatible with my 2dr 73" Ford Maverick as advertised. The product is good. However, I need to remove the plastic gasket around the locking lug and add my own o-ring that fits the base of the gas port. So it's 1 inch from the base. I will also have to solder the lock splines a bit as they are too short. Only 3 starts to be honest because I got tired of looking for another gas cap. The diameter of this one is perfect, it's just that the locking mechanism has problems with shortened teeth and the plastic gasket around it is too small in diameter, resulting in the cover sticking out of the car too much and not as much on the base should sit.
