PROS: High read/write speeds of over 865Mbps when using C-Port C-Port (10Gb /Sports). And half the speed of 460Mbps when using USB 3.0 on the C connector (5Gbps port). - Even better price and speed than standard external SSDs. . CONS: All the external m.2 adapters I've found are very hot! It has some vents on the front, but you'll need a piece of thermal tape to hold it in place. BOTTLESHOT SPEEDS COMPARED TO EVO 3000Mbps card, but 800-1000Mbps is the best speed available for external SSD/10Mbps enclosures like this one. . BOTTOM LINE: Costs $20, but if you don't plan on using it with your PC's 10 Gigabit C port (USB 3.0 or less), you'll only get 450 Mbps speeds no matter how fast your SSD is . Standard external SSDs run 10x cooler and lighter at roughly the same 450Mbps throughput.
