Excellent filter for full and near full observations of the moon
I recently saw an article about eyepiece filters that can be used when observing the surface of the moon and this one was recommended to me. Once you get used to seeing the surface a bluish-purple hue, it becomes clear that this filter does indeed offer a great view of the full array of rays emanating from craters (like Tycho), as well as other features which are otherwise only visible along the surface. otherwise Terminator, but only in a limited area.
