If you have a car with a roof antenna you probably have very poor radio reception. My 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe has this antenna design, so I had to look for a replacement antenna on the roof or on the side. There are so many sizes and shapes of aftermarket radio antennas that I was tempted to pick one of these cool shark fin antennas, but reviews are mixed. People also recommend antenna boosters, but something about their low price told me they were a waste of time. So I said I would use traditional design antennas that never failed and settled on these. Metra is a high quality yet affordable brand. It's easy to install and looks great like the car came with it. I bought an extension cable because I found the length of the supplied cable to be too short, but it was actually sufficient for the chosen installation location. The reception is really strong and I'm glad I chose this one. I recommend.
