Review on Cat Ears Classic Cycling Noise Reducer by Sean Burnett

You will look like Elvis.

but these things really work. I've tried them and Wind-Blox Pro and really have nothing to compare them to. Cat ears definitely offer more reduction in wind noise. After starting to suffer from tinnitus I really wish I had worn these things many years ago. Things to look out for: • Works best with helmets where the straps touch the full length of the head/cheek instead of having a gap. Otherwise, the belt itself will generate noise. • Sunglasses should be worn over the straps, not under. But why don't you wear them differently? :) • Experiment with the top/bottom position of the cat's ears on the strap. Surprisingly for me they work much better all the way through the strap. You'd think higher on the ears would be better, but not for me. • On hot days you will sweat more around them. There are options that cancel out more noise, but they require more coverage for your ears. Another bonus for me is that I tend to associate more wind noise with stronger headwinds. Strong wind while driving makes me very depressed. Since there is less wind noise with them, the perceived wind when driving is significantly lower. No more depressors!

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • There are downsides
