Review on ๐Ÿฑ PetSafe In-Ground Cat Fence: Waterproof, Tone & Static Correction, Safe Stretch-Section Collar for Cats 6 lb & Above by Melissa Lopez

Mine works when set up correctly. Keeps a cat in the yard and protects from trouble

In principle it is worth investing to protect my cat, but it could be better. This is constructive criticism of the manufacturer. The transmitter unit is pretty crappy. Thin, light plastic. Tricky connections. Not what you would expect from a $200 investment. It has field width adjustment, which is handy. The receiver collar is large, but in order for it to work, it needs to fit very snugly around the kitten's neck. I tried to tighten it several times but it didn't make contact with my cat's skin so there was no shock. When things get tight, it works. It has 5 intensity settings, one just beeps and 4 with increasing beat intensity, which is good. More sliding cats may need the lowest level. The cardboard spool of perimeter wire snapped halfway through installation, turning the remaining wire into a rat's nest. It wasn't fun. After figuring out what works and what doesn't when installing, I ultimately believe this electric perimeter fence will work. Hopefully just one beep will do for him in the long run.
