Review on 💾 Highpoint RocketStor 6418S: Efficient 8-Bay Tower Enclosure for 6Gb/s SAS/SATA Drives by David Carter

This is a good external SAS backplane/chassis Housing. Bought because I ran out of internal storage space on my white box ESXi system. I was a little concerned that the product description would list specific compatibility with RocketRAID cards, but I've been using the LSI SAS HBA with no problems and even getting HDD activity LEDs from it.
