Now I have a second (spare) holder which I will return tomorrow. As a result, the shape of the holder does not match the shape of the ventilation unit. The holder has a flat base with four tabs (one at each corner). The problem with the first holder was that the lower right pin was defective and lacked the barb needed to grab the vent. I asked for a replacement which was delivered promptly. The flat base of the second holder presented a problem as the vent assembly has a slightly convex shape. The shape difference between the flat base and the convex vent assembly resulted in a constant pulling force at the corners, and the holder just wouldn't stay in place: one of the bottom corners kept coming loose.
