Review on Philips DVDR3576H Recorder 160GB Built by Anil Campbell

This product works as a digital video recorder. The main reason I bought it was the ability to record digital channels (via an antenna since I don't subscribe to cable or satellite TV) when I'm away from home. Like a VCR, it records from the specified channel at the specified time, and it does it well. The 160 GB hard drive and adjustable recording quality levels enable recording times from 25 hours (best quality) to 155 hours (worst quality). Unlike a VCR, you can simultaneously record a program and watch a previously recorded program. As with a VCR, you can only record one show at a time. I am considering buying a second set as I am interested in simulcasting the show on this air. Another limitation, like a VCR, recording entire shows depends on correct timing during the setup process. This is a problem because programs on different stations tend to overlap (the end of one broadcast may overlap with the start of a broadcast on another station). The only limitation that worries me is the inability to flag programs before they are recorded. . You can only mark your entries after the entry is complete. This leads to you having to watch every single entry to get an idea of what the show is really about. I hope that this problem will be fixed in future models.
