My spa heater failed (bright light, sparks, etc.) less than a week ago. I have lived in this house for over 8 years and the stove came with the house. It was easy to remove and replace the part. The new heating element worked normally and turned off when the oven reached the set temperature. Make sure the oven is unplugged before removing or replacing any part. I also had the switch turned off. This is a good opportunity to clean the oven and its surroundings. I used to not remove the stove from the wall and cabinets so cleaning was required. Apparently, pancake batter makes an excellent cement.
