If you value your safety, please do not buy this. The metal prong that locks the blade into place broke on just the second time I ever used this thing, causing the tension holding the blade arm to collapse and the knife collapsing and falling out of my hand, and all I was doing was cutting cardboard boxes up t fit in the dumpster. Had anyone been close to me, they would have been sliced. I got this on sale, but it was still a waste of money. Literally I used this twice - once to cut 72" of carpeting and then this second time when it broke, just slicing up cardboard shipping boxes.
