I wanted to love this leash and I do really love the feel of it, it's sturdy, handle is comfortable to hold and it's a good length. However it was purchased for training purposes (i have used them before) and it is useless for that as the leather "stopper" they put on, which is what is supposed to hold the leash from loosening up, does not work at all. Any slight movement at all and it loosens right up and the leash opens up and slips down which can be very dangerous as now you are putting pressure on the dogs throat as opposed to up higher behind the ears. Utterly frustrating to have such a well made leash, to have the most important component be so cheaply made. The ring is way too big for this small leather stopper to do anything at all. I give the leash high marks for other things, but I can't recommend it at all if you are looking for a training lead. I guess you get what you pay for. Lesson learned.
