I have compared this to dust collectors and other devices that are much cheaper and could do the job I need. I have this one and I really like it. It's perfect for quick cleaning of the kitchen counter, dryer vent and the like. But I really learned to collect the seeds from birds that find their way out of the cage. It's absolutely perfect for that! 15 seconds every day, no cable and no shovel. Brooms and other vacuums I've tried tend to scatter small seeds, adding to the mess. He just eats them. I like the stand but part of the brush is in the drawer. It was perfect for me.
